Job Description

The Section of Pediatric Nephrology at Children's Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock (CHaD) and The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth seeks a board certified or eligible physician to join its faculty. We seek a BC/BE fellowship trained pediatric nephrologist interested in joining this growing and vibrant clinical practice with an active teaching service. CHaD is the pediatric service of Dartmouth Hitchcock (D-H), an integrated academic healthcare delivery system for northern New England, anchored in Lebanon, New Hampshire at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC), recognized by US News & World Report as the Best Hospital in NH and home to the NCI-designated Norris Cotton Cancer Center and the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. CHaD maintains an inpatient pediatric unit with PICU and a level III NICU at DHMC and a comprehensive ambulatory specialty center at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic in Manchester, the largest city in the state.

Qualifications

• BC/BE Pediatric Nephrology • Must have ability to obtain/maintain NH medical license   Responsibilities
The program offers comprehensive nephrology services including management of acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, acute and chronic nephritis, pediatric renal transplant, medical urology, prenatal consultation, and kidney stones. A unique aspect of the Section is our integrative pediatric nephrology service that attracts patients from across the country. Teaching residents and medical students is expected, so eligibility for academic appointment at The Geisel School of Medicine is required, at a rank commensurate with experience and academic portfolio. Opportunities for clinical, translational, and health services research exist for the interested candidate. D-H provides a rare opportunity to combine high level academic medicine with a serene and stress-free living environment. Lebanon is part of the Upper Connecticut River Valley, home to Dartmouth College and its abundant cultural and enrichment activities. Greater Manchester is often ranked among the best small cities in the United States for quality of life. With destinations like Boston, New York, Montreal, the seacoast and ski country within driving distance, this the ideal place to work where others play.
