Established large private practice group seeking full-time BC/BE general anesthesiologist. One of the few and most stable private groups remaining in NC. In addition to base salary there is plenty of opportunity to pick up extra call to supplement income. The group greatly emphasizes lifestyle and extra call is totally voluntary. This is a two year partnership track, no buy-in required. Our Physicians receive seven weeks vacation for their first year and eight weeks vacation for their second year. Partners receive 9-10 weeks of vacation per year. The group would also entertain an employed position with no non-clinical duties. General MDs typically take 1 weekday call per week with post-call day off and 4-5 weekends/yr with post-call day off. Total amount of call would directly correlate with percentage of OR days. Case mix includes general, orthopedics with plenty of regional, OB, cardiothoracic (TEE certification or experience a plus but not required), plastics, neuro, peds and dental. No trauma. MD's rarely cover their own cases but if interested in doing so more often this is negotiable. The group covers two local hospitals as well as four ambulatory centers. All call is from home unless you reside more than 30 minutes from the hospital.
