Overview:

Fort Wayne, Indiana Opportunity for Adolescent Psychiatrist and General Psychiatrist. 

 

Our new Joint Venture with the Lutheran Network of Indiana and Acadia Healthcare has opened with great success. Due to expansion of hospital treatment programs, we are actively recruiting additional medical staff for our  Maple Heights Behavioral Health. A state-of-the-art, 120-bed behavioral health hospital where patients receive  care and comprehensive support.

 

MHBH provides inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP) and  intensive outpatient programs (IOP) coming soon, for patients who have been struggling with issues such as, anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), in a safe and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

Summary:

  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
