• Offers Hospitalist 24-hour physician coverage in critical care and general medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics and surgery.
• Has an on call 24/7 Rapid Response Team, composed of a critical care physician, intensive care nurse and respiratory therapist, to prevent codes and reduce mortality when a patient's condition deteriorates.
• Has more than 700 physicians on the medical staff, representing more than 50 medical specialties. Employs approximately 2,300 nurses, allied healthcare professionals and staff.
• Includes the UM St. Joseph Medical Group, which consists of 100+ employed physicians and mid-level practitioners who are aligned with UM St. Joseph Medical Center to offer the community a solid foundation of primary care and various specialties.

In 2014 we were honored to receive awards and honors for our Heart Institute and Cancer Institute. We were awarded the Lifeline Silver Award from the American Heart Association. We also received a three-star rating from The Society for Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for patient care and outcomes in coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and aortic valve replacement (AVR). We received the ACTION Registry-GWTG's Platinum Performance Achievement Award from the National Cardiovascular Date Registry. We also have three-year gold level accreditation with commendation from the American College of Surgeon's Commission on Cancer (CoC).
