Psychiatrist - Behavioral Health Urgent Care Clinic - Philadelphia, PA

We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join our team in the Philadelphia, PA 19129 area for our NEW Behavioral Health Urgent Care Clinic. 

We are a mental health urgent care/walk-in center for adults in need of same-day care that is not an emergency in Philadelphia. We serve individuals experiencing emotional distress, mental health concerns, and/or substance use concerns. Individuals will participate in triage, resolution-focused services, and aftercare planning to prepare for long-term recovery and connection to ongoing care. We serve individuals regardless of income or insurance status. Our services do not replace the need for ongoing mental health care; rather, we aim to reduce avoidable visits to crisis centers and emergency rooms by helping people get the care they need when they need it.

Position Details

Psychiatrist should be qualified in the mental health profession, and possesses the clinical skills and experience to assess, plan, develop, coordinate, and collaborate treatment and rehabilitation.  This individual will be the clinical leader and work in conjunction with other staff to assure the highest quality of care to the consumers.

The Psychiatrist will: 

• provide psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and care to individuals experiencing urgent behavioral health needs.
• supervise the Mental Health Nurse Practitioners
• work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary BHUCC team to assess and manage urgent behavioral health needs
• ensure the delivery of high-quality and compassionate services.  
• This role is 20 hours per week; 2 eight-hour days and 1 four-hour day. Pick the days that work best for you!
