OB/GYN Generalist - Harlem Hospital - New York, NY

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an OBGYN Generalist opportunity with NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem.  Harlem Hospital is located on 135^th Street in Manhattan and has been certified as a Baby-Friendly hospital by the World Health Organization. The OBGYN service has a 24-hour pain management service, with five birthing suites and a 17-bed inpatient unit. Harlem Hospital features a da Vinci Robot and a full GYN service, which includes minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, urogynecology, an active robotic surgical service, and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.  On average, the OBGYN service has 800 live births annually. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with Columbia University Medical Center.

Responsibilities:

• General OBGYN inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management.
• Ambulatory clinic coverage.
• Inpatient Gyn/ED consultation.
• Labor & Delivery coverage. 
• Supervise the care given to patients by the Advanced Practice Providers. 
• Adequate surgical skills required to cover inpatient services.
• Provide night, weekend and holiday coverage as assigned. 
  
• Applicants should be knowledgeable of best practices in OBGYN and have mature communication and interpersonal skills.
• Participates in Departmental performance improvement activities.
• Night and weekend call required and will be compensated above salary.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in a RRC or AGME accredited residency program.
• Possess or eligible for a New York State Medical License.
  
• Board Certified or Eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
