Cardiologist

Position Overview:

CHEMED is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiologist to join our dynamic healthcare team in Lakewood, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity to be the first cardiologist directly employed by CHEMED, a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services in the region. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality cardiac care to our diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Excellence: Provide exceptional cardiovascular care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of cardiac conditions.
2. Consultation and Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with primary care physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care.
3. Diagnostic Procedures: Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures such as echocardiography, stress tests, electrocardiograms (ECGs), and cardiac catheterizations as needed.
4. Treatment Planning: Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, incorporating evidence-based practices and the latest advancements in cardiology.
5. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health, preventive measures, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal heart health and disease prevention.
6. Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, diagnostic test results, treatment plans, and progress notes.
7. Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, clinical processes, and overall patient satisfaction.
8. Continuing Education: Stay abreast of developments in the field of cardiology through ongoing professional development, attending conferences, and engaging in scholarly activities.
9. Community Engagement: Contribute to community outreach efforts and educational programs focused on cardiovascular health promotion and disease prevention.

Qualifications:

1. Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
2. Board Certification: Board certification in Cardiology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or equivalent.
3. State Licensure: Valid medical license to practice in the state of New Jersey.
4. Clinical Experience: Proven experience in clinical cardiology practice, including the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases.
5. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients, colleagues, and staff members.
6. Team Player: Strong collaborative skills with a commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary care.
