JOB DESCRIPTION

INTEGRIS Health Heart Hospital is recruiting a Full-time, BC Physician - Program Director of Advanced Cardiopulmonary Care. The successful candidate will join a highly skilled multidisciplinary team and exhibit expertise in all aspects of Advanced Heart Failure, including cardiac transplantation, and MCS, supporting inpatient, outpatient, and regional outreach services. The advanced heart failure program currently includes five physicians, seven advanced practice providers, with call sharing and support. The broader team includes full-time critical care support, an intense network of cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and vascular surgeons with clinics in Oklahoma City and over thirty-five outreach clinics around the state.

Our new Heart and ICU Hospital has 64 ICU beds, multiple cardiac catheterization labs, cardiovascular operating rooms, hybrid operating rooms, electrophysiology heart labs, and convenient cardiac diagnostic testing areas.

The Physician provides direct patient care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Physician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Thoroughly evaluates and manages each patient appropriately and documents information completely by use of written notes or dictation on a timely basis
  • Identifies relevant medical issues accurately and uses appropriate procedures and testing
  • Completes and maintains problem list, medication list, disease management forms, preventative maintenance flow sheets and other medical record forms
  • Participates in the quality improvement and medical management plans as directed by the Medical Operating Committee
  • Provides direction to staff members for an efficient and smooth running team
  • Ensures fiscal viability of the practice
  • Complies with policies and procedures if applicable.
  • The Physician is responsible for patients.

Moderate exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals. Potential for bodily injury related to lifting and incidents of workplace violence. Must follow universal safety precautions. Exposed to constant interruptions, noise, disagreeable odors, and assorted chemicals.
