Highlights:
- Typical schedule of 2-3 clinic days and 1-2 surgical days
- Clinic hours are Monday through Friday.
- Shared call – 1:3
- MOB adjacent to hospital
- Patient census: 6-10 per clinic day and average 5–8 surgeries per week
- 110-bed pediatric hospital, 40 bed general pediatric, 16 bed PICU, and New 30 bed Level IV NICU
- Equipment/Resources Available: Board-Certified Pediatric Anesthesiologists on staff, Pediatric hospitalist, 24/7 in-house neonatologist

The Hospitals of Providence Children's Hospital serves the pediatric component of the approximately 850,000 people of El Paso, Texas and the surrounding area. Being on the United States/Mexico border, there are also pediatric patients from Mexico who are treated at the facility.
The Hospitals of Providence Children's Hospital staff also receives specialized training in the treatment of children. Many members of the nursing staff have received Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALs) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. These health professionals are part of a team that includes pediatric sub-specialists in cardiology, genetics, infectious diseases, nephrology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pathology, radiology, pulmonology, surgery, oncology, hematology, neurology, endocrinology, gastroenterology and neonatology.
