Cardiac Surgeon Opening - Jackson, MI

Henry Ford Medical Group is seeking to employ a Cardiac Surgeon. 

Henry Ford Hospital -Jackson, an affiliate of Henry Ford Health System, is looking for a full-time board certified/board eligible adult cardiac Surgeon to join the team in Jackson, for continued growth of the program. The program has board-certified Surgeons and 4 Advanced Practice Providers in a busy practice that has served Jackson for more than 10+ years. You would be joining a highly skilled, collaborative team of cardiologists, including interventional, heart failure, and EP as well as, intensivists and support staff.

Henry Ford Jackson has State of the Art Hybrid OR, a Heart and Vascular Center and Structural Heart and Complex Aortic Vascular Services.

The practice scope is adult cardiac surgery, candidates with at least 2-4 years of experience will be given priority. The position is a full-time employment as part of the Henry Ford Medical group in the division of cardiac surgery. The successful candidate will be the local leader of the program at HF Jackson and will oversee the quality and growth of the program. The program has an excellent opportunity for growth based on the local community needs and market analysis. The position is supported by the Henry Ford Medical Group and Heart and Vascular institute with significant resources. Academic affiliation with Michigan State University and the Henry Ford thoracic training program is part of what is available for this opportunity. Academic rank will be determined based on the qualifications of the candidate.

Henry Ford Hospital Jackson performed the first coronary artery bypass graft surgery on February 11, 2008. Since then, have grown to more than 2000 cases. In 2018 we affiliated with Henry Ford Health and are looking to expand our service line. We started a TAVR program in 2019 and look to continue to expand to a tertiary referral center.

Physician must have completed an ACGME accredited Fellowship in Thoracic Surgery and must be eligible for State of Michigan medical license.
