Banner Medical Group is actively recruiting for per diem Pediatric Anesthesiologists for Banner Desert Medical Center (BDMC) in Mesa, AZ. Our current team includes five Pediatric Anesthesiologists with plans to expand the team significantly. Serving a growing pediatric population of 350K+, Banner Children’s at Desert Medical Center is a state-of-the-art, 260 bed children's care facility. This campus includes a Level Two Pediatric Trauma Center, Level 3 NICU with 104 beds with 24/7 Neonatology support, 24 bed PICU with 24/7 Pediatric Intensivist support, and a 26 bed Pediatric ED. With more than 240 pediatric physicians on staff, Banner Children's at Banner Desert offers care in more than 27 Pediatric Subspecialties. Being the largest private employer in the state and the primary referral center for Pediatric surgeries within the Banner network, the opportunity for a busy practice is supported with our built in referral network.

Qualifications:

• BC/BE Fellowship trained Pediatric Anesthesiologist
• Experienced providers and New Grads encouraged to apply
• Experience with ultrasounds guided nerve blocks, caudal blocks, and difficult pediatric airways preferred
• Ability to obtain an AZ license and DEA

Banner Children's at Desert Medical Center provides comprehensive pediatric care from general to emergency, as well as services for specific childhood diseases. Highly trained physician specialists, social services staff and numerous integrative therapy programs ensure a complete range of care for children. We have a child-friendly atmosphere accented by soothing colors and dedicated play areas, as well as a volunteer dog therapy program that helps cheer up young patients during their stays.

Banner Children's at Desert Medical Center features 248 beds, specially trained nurses and doctors and family-centered care as well as an expanded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – from 65 beds to 86 beds.

• Six pediatric operating rooms featuring 25 private, child-friendly pre- and post-op areas.
• An expanded Pediatric Emergency Department, increasing from 15 to 26 beds.
• Outpatient Treatment Center includes 16 beds that can serve as overflow for Emergency Department during peak evening hours.
