DBHDS is seeking dedicated psychiatrists to join mission-driven teams across the Commonwealth. As a valued clinical leader, you will provide high-quality psychiatric care in inpatient settings while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams committed to recovery, dignity, and hope.
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
Lead individualized, evidence-based treatment planning
Manage medication and therapeutic interventions using best practices
Coordinate care and discharge planning with internal and external partners
Participate in court hearings as necessary
Ensure timely, accurate medical documentation
Provide on-call coverage as scheduled
M.D. or equivalent from an accredited medical school
Completion of an approved psychiatry residency program
Active Virginia medical license (or eligibility to obtain one)
DEA license to prescribe
