Obstetrician Gynecologist

Bayhealth is seeking OB/GYN Physicians and OB Hospitalists to join our growing, hospital-employed team supporting a rapidly expanding women’s services program in Central and Southern Delaware.

With 2,800 annual deliveries (1,800 Kent | 1,000 Sussex) and continued population growth, this is an opportunity to step into a high-volume, well-supported environment with the flexibility to shape the role that fits your career goals.

OB Hospitalist Role | Focus on Inpatient Care

• Flexible scheduling with 24-hour shifts available
• Inpatient-only model—no clinic responsibilities
• Work alongside Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) and a highly skilled nursing team
• Modern, centralized unit design:
• 10 LDRs, 4 OB ED/triage rooms
• 2 dedicated ORs adjacent to NICU
• Pre-op, PACU, and postpartum units designed for efficiency
• 24/7 in-house support: anesthesia, pediatrics, and neonatal providers always available
• Staffing aligned with ACOG A-1 perinatal guidelines for safe, high-quality care

Outpatient OB/GYN Role | Balanced Practice Model

• Primarily outpatient practice with ~3 hospital coverage shifts per month
• Deliver at Kent Campus (Dover) and/or Sussex Campus (Milford)
• Modern clinic spaces:
• Dover: newly renovated, just minutes from the hospital
• Milford: clinic located on/adjacent to campus for seamless workflow
• Flexibility to tailor your practice based on your clinical interests
