Concord Hospital Cardiovascular Institute is seeking a visionary Medical Director of Thoracic Surgery to help elevate and expand our thoracic program alongside our Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery. This is a rare opportunity to step into a strategic leadership role within a growing, forward-thinking institute that’s redefining multidisciplinary care in New England.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and grow a comprehensive thoracic surgery program within a vibrant, regional health system
  • Drive innovation and integrated, team-based care for thoracic oncology patients
  • Collaborate across specialties in a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center
  • Engage in weekly multidisciplinary case conferences and help shape program strategy through quarterly Cancer Committee meetings
  • Deliver care in both inpatient and outpatient settings with cutting-edge technology and support

Who You’ll Work With

Join a powerhouse team within the Cardiovascular Institute, including:

  • 12 Non-Invasive Cardiologists
  • 4 Interventional Cardiologists
  • 2 Electrophysiologists
  • 2 Cardiothoracic Surgeons
  • 1 Thoracic Surgeon (You’d lead this side of the team!)
  • 4 Vascular Surgeons
  • 17 Advanced Practice Providers across specialties

You’ll also work closely with:

  • 8 Pulmonologists
  • Radiation & Medical Oncologists
  • Dedicated Nurse Navigators, Social Workers, Dietitians
  • The Payson Center for Cancer Care, a nationally accredited program (CoC-CCCP & ACR-ROPA)

Physical Demands and Work Environment Requirements
