The Opportunity: SSM Health Davis Duehr Dean Eye Care is excited to announce an opening for a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist at our upcoming Verona Clinic in the Madison, Wisconsin area. This position offers a unique chance to lead a new clinic location as a part of an established, multi-specialty eye care group known for excellence. You will practice full-scope ophthalmology in a brand-new, state-of-the-art clinic (slated to open in Fall 2026), and all surgical procedures will be performed at our nearby Sun Prairie Outpatient Center – a modern facility equipped with dedicated ophthalmic surgical suites.

You’ll step into an immediate patient base and a robust referral system built over decades. Our clinics are staffed with highly trained ophthalmic technicians, certified opticians, and a full administrative team to help your practice run smoothly. We also offer an on-site optical shop for convenient patient eyewear services.
• Outreach & Academic Opportunities: Experience a rewarding mix of community practice and academic engagement. You will have opportunities to participate in outreach clinics in surrounding communities, expanding care to underserved areas. Our group encourages clinical research involvement, providing support for those who wish to engage in trials or studies to advance the field of ophthalmology.

Location – Verona & Madison Metro: Verona is a growing community just outside Madison, WI, known for its high quality of life and vibrant economy (it’s home to major employers like Epic Systems). Our new Verona clinic is part of SSM Health’s latest initiative to provide care close to home for patients in southern Dane County. The clinic will be housed in a brand-new outpatient healthcare campus designed for patient convenience and sustainability. You’ll enjoy living in the Madison area, which offers outstanding culture, dining, outdoor recreation, and schools, consistently ranked among the best places to live in the country. For surgeries and advanced procedures, you’ll practice at the SSM Health Davis Duehr Dean Eye Care – Sun Prairie location (2850 O’Keeffe Ave, Sun Prairie, WI), a newly opened center about 30 minutes from Verona. This facility features fully equipped operating rooms for ophthalmology and an array of specialty services to support your surgical practice.
