ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Patient Care:

Provide routine check-ups, health assessments, and annual exams. Diagnose, treat, and manage chronic illnesses, acute conditions, and preventable diseases.

Prescribe medications and provide treatment plans for a wide range of health issues.

Perform physical examinations and order appropriate diagnostic tests.

Manage the overall health care of patients, including referrals to specialists when necessary.

Counsel patients on lifestyle changes to improve their health, including nutrition, exercise, and mental well-being.

  • Prevention & Health Promotion:

Administer vaccinations, screenings, and health education to promote preventive care.

Provide advice on wellness and disease prevention strategies.

  • Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.

Document patient interactions, diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

  • Collaboration & Teamwork:

Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, medical assistants, and specialists, to coordinate comprehensive care.

Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment options, medication regimens, and health management.

  • Medical Education & Research:

Stay informed about the latest medical advancements and healthcare guidelines.

Attend continuing education programs, seminars, and medical conferences.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and clinical decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle a high volume of patients.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Previous experience in primary care practice or a related field.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.

  • Board certification or board eligibility in family medicine, internal medicine, or pediatrics (depending on the practice setting).
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • BLS/ACLS certification.
