Internal Medicine Teaching Faculty – Cone Health

Full-Time or Part-Time (0.5 FTE) | Greensboro, NC

The Internal Medicine Residency Program at Moses Cone Hospital, a university-affiliated, community teaching program sponsored by Cone Health, is seeking academic General Internists to join our faculty in full-time or part-time (0.5 FTE) roles.

This opportunity is ideal for clinician-educators passionate about teaching residents and medical students in both inpatient and outpatient settings within a well-established Internal Medicine residency program. Candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine with teaching experience.

Position Highlights:

• Full-time or 0.5 FTE faculty appointment

• Teaching in inpatient and outpatient settings

• 12 weeks/year attending on inpatient resident service

• Continuity clinic  0.5 day/week + outpatient resident precepting

• 20% protected time for education and faculty development

• Shared call model: phone-only evenings, evenly split weekends/holidays

• Focus on clinical reasoning, evidence-based medicine, and informatics

• Strong emphasis on physician wellness and resiliency

Our eight core faculty are dedicated clinician-educators who serve as mentors to residents and students in a supportive, academically focused environment.

The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, the flagship of Cone Health, was established in 1953 to serve the community by delivering high-quality healthcare. That mission continues today.
