Join Our Team at Avera Brookings

We’re seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join our growing surgical team and provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive general surgical care for patients 
• Perform a broad range of general surgery procedures utilizing advanced surgical technology including access to robotics
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and support teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
• Participate in surgical call coverage and emergency surgical care
• Contribute to a patient-focused culture that values quality, safety, and innovation

Schedule

• Five (5) day work week with dedicated OR and clinic time
• 1:4 shared call rotation

Qualifications

• MD or DO, licensed (or eligible) in South Dakota
• Board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery
• DEA certification (state and federal)
