The Department of Neurology is the largest and most comprehensive neurology academic group in Wisconsin, with a faculty exceeding 75, including more than 60 adult neurologists and neuropsychologists.  More than a dozen child neurology faculty practice at the adjacent children’s hospital, and there is a nearby affiliated VA Hospital.  The NMADP is over 30 years old and is one of the oldest continuous programs in the department. The NMADP comprises 6 adult and one child neurology faculty plus 3 APPs. The adult NMADP faculty see a wide range of local and regional patient referrals in a new outpatient clinic, including new autonomic and clinical neurophysiology laboratories.  Neurology has a robust educational program of 27 adult neurology residents, 6 child neurology residents, in addition to 10 fellowships.  Faculty also do basic and clinical research with an aggregate budget of more than $5M dollars.  The Neurology Department is a primary partner in MCW’s newly initiated and funded Neuroscience Institute.
