Exciting Comprehensive Pulmonology Medicine Opportunity in Wilkesboro, NC!

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist – Wilkesboro Pulmonology is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pulmonologist to lead a community-based practice. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive pulmonary care to a diverse patient population while enjoying a high level of autonomy and continuity in patient relationships.

As the sole Pulmonologist in the practice, you will play a key role in shaping care delivery and building lasting connections within the community. The practice is grounded in a patient-centered approach, emphasizing quality, access, and clinical excellence.

 

Position Highlights:

  • Full-time providers work 36 patient-facing hours and 4 administrative hours
  • Office/Clinic Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Shift/Schedule this clinician will be required to work: mix of inpatient and outpatient
  • Clinical Support Structure (e.g., number of physicians, APPs, nurses): new clinical position with intent to grow to meet community need

Physician Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school (M.D./D.O.).
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency.
  • Completion of a Pulmonary fellowship at an ACGME-accredited institution.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pulmonary 
  • Current or eligible for North Carolina Medical License.
  • BLS certification by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • Current DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing.
