Are you an experienced Hospitalist ready to step into a leadership role within a high-acuity, collaborative environment? Med-Cure Internal Medicine, a thriving private practice based in Goodyear, is seeking a Lead Internal Medicine Hospitalist to mentor and guide a team of 15–18 providers at Abrazo West Campus, a Level I Trauma Center that enjoys full-time specialty and intensivist support.
Private practice autonomy in a hospital setting—not hospital-employed
Abrazo West Campus is a private, acute-care hospital designated as a Level I Trauma Center, with 179 staffed beds and handling approximately 55,000 ER visits annually
Rich in advanced specialty services: orthopedics, stroke care, robotic-assisted surgery, obstetrics, spine surgery, and more
Hub for graduate medical education—home to Abrazo’s Internal Medicine and General Surgery residency rotations
Own oversight of scheduling, provider performance, and team coordination
Lead internal and administrative meetings; oversee quality metrics, credentialing, utilization review, and peer evaluations
Champion onboarding, recruitment, teaching programs, and act as liaison with hospital administration
Serve on the Medical Executive Committee (MEC) and drive community and hospital outreach efforts
Cohesive team of 20 Physicians + APPs, including Teaching Hospitalists, Daytime Hospitalists, Nocturnists, and Nurse Practitioners
16 day shifts/month (7 AM–7 PM); no night shifts—dedicated nocturnist coverage in place
24/7 in-house intensive care—you’ll oversee an open ICU staffed by Intensivists; no procedural responsibilities
Base Salary: $260,000 for 16 shifts per month
Yearly Earnings Potential: $350K–$400K+ with up to 80% of collections
Leadership stipend- 50-75 K Annually
Comprehensive benefits package: CME allowance ($3,000), malpractice coverage, retirement plan after 1 year
MD or DO, Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Prior hospitalist leadership experience required (2023 grad or earlier)
Comfortable managing high patient volumes (~20–22 patients/shift)
Organized, collaborative, confident—bonus if you have subspecialty training (e.g., Nephrology, Pulmonology, ID, or Critical Care)
