Opportunity Overview

We are currently seeking a board-certified (or board-eligible) Internal Medicine Physician to join our team and help shape the future of healthcare in our community.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage a patient panel of 18–22 patients per day (after an initial ramp-up period).
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based primary care in an outpatient setting.
  • Independently diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies to treat illness and prevent disease.
  • Communicate clearly with patients and their families about care plans, test results, and treatment options.
  • Provide preventative health education and wellness advice related to nutrition, physical activity, hygiene, and lifestyle.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive patient records in the EMR system (Athena).
  • Refer patients to appropriate specialists when necessary.
  • Support and manage patients with long-term care needs.
  • Collaborate with the broader care team to ensure integrated, team-based care.

Required Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine (ABMS or AOA).
  • Current and unrestricted medical license or the ability to obtain one in North Carolina.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong alignment with integrated, team-based care models.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and EMR platforms (Athena experience preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted DEA license.
  • Medicare provider number.
  • 3–7 years of clinical experience preferred.
