VHS is actively recruiting qualified providers to perform Compensation & Pension examinations and Separation Health Assessments. In this role, you will conduct interview-based assessments and physical evaluations within your own office location, supporting veterans' healthcare journeys with professionalism and compassion. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced clinicians looking to make a meaningful difference on a flexible basis.
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license in Nevada
- Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
- Experience with compensation and pension exams preferred
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with veteran healthcare assessments
- Familiarity with medical documentation and reporting
- Certification in relevant medical disciplines
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Proven experience in general medicine or related fields
- Prior experience conducting C&P exams or similar assessments is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Own office location within specified radius of Pahrump, Gardnerville/Minden, or Ely, NV
- Ability to work ½ or 1-day shifts, 4-8 hours per session
- Willingness to complete onboarding and initial training
- No prescribing or treatment responsibilities; exams are interview and physical assessment-based
- Local candidates preferred; travel included in the pay rate
