Locum - Physician - General Medicine NV

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with limited physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing or treatment responsibilities.
- Complete exams, document findings, and submit reports within designated timeframes.
- Uphold compliance with all veteran-focused assessment standards and protocols.
Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid license in Nevada.
- Experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or orthopedic surgery.
- Familiarity with VA compensation and pension examinations is advantageous.
- Strong interview and physical assessment skills.
- Ability to work independently at your own office location, adhering to schedules and deadlines.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with compensation and pension assessments.
- Comfortable handling diagnostic reading and report submissions.
- Basic proficiency with medical documentation and reporting software.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Active Nevada medical license.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in internal or family medicine.
- Prior experience in veteran assessment or related evaluations is preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Must own or have access to a private practice or office space within the specified geographic areas.
- Must be available for these part-time assignments, typically 4-8 hours per shift.
- Willingness to perform administrative follow-up work such as addendums and medical opinions.
- No travel reimbursements outside of your normal rates; travel expenses are included in the compensation.
- Certification or additional training not required but will facilitate onboarding.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay Rate: $624.00
