Required Skills:
- Medical license in good standing in the United States
- Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
- Experience with compensation and pension examinations is preferred
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to conduct interview-based assessments with minimal physical examination
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with VA or military populations
- Knowledge of physical assessment techniques like range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Familiarity with medical report documentation and addendums
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of one year clinical experience in general or internal medicine
- Prior experience performing compensation and pension or health assessments is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Own a medical office location within 50 miles of Juneau or Sitka for half-day shifts, or within 75 miles of Delta Junction for two days per week
- Able to perform exams on a PRN basis, with flexible scheduling options (half-day or full-day shifts)
- Willingness to complete training and initial exams promptly; bonuses available for timely completion
- Valid certification and licensure, with the ability to travel as needed under reimbursable terms
