Looking for a dedicated and adaptable General Medicine Physician to provide essential healthcare services on a temporary basis across Alaska. Required Skills:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) license in good standing
• Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or similar specialties
• Strong interviewing skills and physical assessment abilities
• Ability to perform compensation and pension exams, including interviews and basic physical tests
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Familiarity with Veterans Affairs (VA) exam procedures preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience conducting VA or military-related exams
• Certification in occupational health or related fields
• Experience with administrative tasks such as report writing and addendums
• Knowledge of medical regulations and compliance standards relevant to Veteran assessments

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO with current licensure in Alaska
• At least 1-2 years of clinical experience in general or internal medicine
• Prior experience with compensation or pension exams is advantageous

Other Requirements:

• Must own a suitable office space within the required radius for local responsibilities (Juneau or Sitka: within 50 miles; Delta Junction: within 75 miles)
• Availability to perform half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) assessments on a PRN, ongoing basis
• Ability to complete exams and submit reports promptly; no prescribing or treatment involved
• Minimum one-time bonus of $650 upon completing all training and initial exams
• Compensation includes travel costs when applicable, with rates set per shift
