Required Skills:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with Board Eligibility or Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active medical license valid in Iowa
• Proven experience in obstetric and hospitalist care
• Proficiency in OB triage, deliveries, and gynecological emergencies
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently

Nice to Have Skills:

• NICU experience or familiarity with NICU Level 1 protocols
• Experience with EMR systems (specific system TBD)
• Previous locum or hospitalist experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical Doctorate (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• At least 2 years of obstetrics and hospital medicine experience
• Prior experience working in a hospital-based setting

Other Requirements:

• Start date: December 31, 2025
• Commitment to MHAS model (clinic and call required)
• Eligibility to provide gynecology coverage
• Willingness to work with the hospital’s case volume: approximately 200 deliveries annually, averaging 13+ patient encounters per day
• Capable of handling typical cases including OB triage, unassigned gyn emergencies, and deliveries
• Willing to travel and attend to licensure, certification, and other reimbursements as applicable
