Required Skills:

• Valid Medical License to practice in Iowa
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Proven experience in hospital-based obstetric care
• Strong clinical skills in managing labor and delivery
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with EMR systems (specific system to be determined)
• Prior experience as a Hospitalist or in a similar obstetric hospital setting
• Ability to provide GYN emergency coverage
• Knowledge of NICU protocols (NICU Level 1)

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• At least 2 years of OB hospitalist experience preferred, but exceptional new graduates are welcome
• Current certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including clinic and on-call duties
• Willingness to adhere to the MHAS model and hospital protocols
• Reliable transportation and licensing reimbursements applicable
• Compliance with all state and federal healthcare regulations
