Are you a dedicated OB hospitalist seeking a fulfilling opportunity to provide exceptional maternal care in a supportive environment? We are looking for a committed Locum Physician to deliver high-quality obstetric services within a bustling hospital setting. In this position, you will be responsible for managing labor and delivery processes, handling emergent gynecological cases, and collaborating with a talented team of specialists, including in-house anesthesiologists and consulting Maternal-Fetal Medicine providers. You will contribute to a dynamic environment with an average of 72 deliveries per month and oversee a diverse patient population consisting of both private and unassigned obstetric patients.

Required Skills:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Virginia or eligible for licensing
• Board-certified or eligible in OB-GYN
• Proven experience in managing labor and delivery
• Strong knowledge of obstetric and gynecological emergency procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced hospital settings

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working with Level 3B NICU services
• Prior locum or temporary hospitalist experience
• Familiarity with hospital electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO)
• Minimum of 2 years of obstetric hospitalist experience
• Recent experience managing labor and delivery units in a hospital environment

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work starting from February 1, 2026
• Must hold or be eligible for state licensure and hospital privileges
• Compliance with all required certifications, including BLS and ACLS
• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate hospital needs
• Travel and licensure reimbursements will be provided, as applicable
