Locum - Physician - Hospitalist - OB Athens, OH

This vital role involves providing inpatient obstetric care, triage, admissions, and delivery coverage within a supportive community hospital setting. As a key member of our team, you'll help improve clinical outcomes, enhance patient satisfaction, and contribute to an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to obstetric care.

Required Skills:

• Valid medical license to practice in Ohio
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Proven experience in obstetric inpatient care and emergency management
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Competency in OB triage, inpatient management, and delivery procedures

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with obstetric critical care
• Familiarity with hospital electronic medical records systems
• Prior locum or temp physician experience
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Minimum of 2 years of obstetric hospitalist experience
• Ohio medical licensure in good standing
• Current board certification in OB-GYN

Other Requirements:

• Availability to work 24-hour shifts, with flexible scheduling
• Compliance with all applicable state, federal, and local licensing, certification, and credentialing requirements
• Willingness to participate in onboarding and orientation sessions
• Ability to manage OB/GYN emergencies and collaborate with community OB providers
