We are seeking a dedicated physician to provide exceptional IR services at our Level I Trauma Center in Lansing, MI. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of IR procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, needle biopsies, thrombolysis, and UFE.
  • Support orthopedic, gynecological, and urological cases as needed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including two APPs and hospital staff.
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety and care during hospital-based procedures.
  • Cover Q3 call responsibilities, with flexibility for providers able to do additional travel and coverage if necessary.

Required Skills:
  • Board certification in Radiology with specialization or experience in Interventional Radiology.
  • Proven competence in performing angioplasty, embolization, biopsies, and related procedures.
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads efficiently.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with orthopedics, gynecology, or urology procedures.
  • Prior experience in trauma or Level I trauma centers.
  • Familiarity with EMRs; specific system experience is not mandatory.
  • Ability to handle a variable case volume with professionalism.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-fellowship IR experience.
  • Current board certification in Radiology.
  • Active medical license in Michigan or eligible for licensure.

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to undertake credentialing process, estimated at 90 days but fast-tracking available.
  • Ability to work a day-shift schedule with Q3 call coverage.
  • Flexibility for additional travel, including coverage of 3+ weeks per month if needed.
  • Mileage reimbursement at IRS standards; lodging provided on campus if required.
  • Competitive hourly pay rate; specific rate to be negotiated.
