MercyOne Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neurosurgeon to join our high-performing neurosurgical team in an inpatient-focused role. This position offers the opportunity to provide advanced neurosurgical care within a collaborative hospital setting, focusing on critically ill and acutely injured patients. Ideal for surgeons passionate about trauma, emergency neurosurgery, and ICU-based care, this role allows you to make a significant impact without the demands of a traditional outpatient practice.
Opportunity Highlights:
• Primary focus: Neurotrauma, exclusively provide care for acute neurosurgical hospitalized patients
• Emergency Neurological Services: TBI, intracranial hemorrhage, spinal cord injuries and acute hydrocephalus
• Oversee patients in the Neuro ICU and step-down unit
• Provide consults to ER and inpatient units
• APP support in OR and inpatient rounding
• Work Structure: 7on/7off, high acuity calls for ER and ICU consults
• State-of-the-art facility: Advanced Neurosurgical OR and ICU capabilities
