The Department of Psychiatry at Stamford Health seeks a full-time Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join an innovative and trailblazing program for treating pediatrics in emotional and behavioral crisis. Stamford Health will be opening one of the first pediatric Emergency Psychiatry Assessment, Treatment, and Healing (EmPATH) units in the nation which will be complimented by a short-term 12-week outpatient crisis stabilization program. This role will be 50% EmPATH unit based and 50% outpatient crisis stabilization office-based. The psychiatrist will round on the EmPATH unit weekday mornings and then spend afternoons providing outpatient follow-up care to patients recently discharged from EmPATH. Typical hours are Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm. No required call or weekend shifts.
