Marshfield Medical Center is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist that is BC/BE in Pediatrics to join its well-established team in Marshfield, Wisconsin. You will join a great group of 4 other Pediatric Hospitalists providing inpatient coverage for Marshfield's Children's Hospital. This position is a shift-based position working 12-hour shifts (in-house). There is no NICU coverage required. Opportunity to supervise residents. Excellent pediatric subspecialty support.

 

Marshfield Children's Hospital

Our 56-bed Children's Hospital is Central Wisconsin's only accredited pediatric hospital, and one of only four in Wisconsin. It is equipped with the latest technology, more than 40 pediatric specialties and board-certified pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, and neonatologists. Certified child life specialists ensure children receive the emotional support they may need to cope with their treatment during their hospital stay.  The hospital has 24 bed level 3 NICU with 24/7 neonatology support and normal newborn nursery; 8 bed PICU with 24/7 pediatric intensivist support including sedation services; 26 bed pediatric acute beds including 8 bed Heme-Onc positive pressure rooms and 24/7 pediatric hospitalist support.  Marshfield Children’s is an ACS Verified Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Program and a member of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG).

Compensation and Benefits

Sanford Health offers a nationally competitive compensation plan with an additional physician benefits package including a health, dental and vision insurance, 401K plan, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, CME allowance, allowed time away, malpractice insurance and tail coverage, and a relocation allowance.

 

Annual compensation of $272,500 if you complete the required number of shifts for a 1.0 FTE. In addition, a $100,000 retention incentive to be paid if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 4 years (this will be subject to a contractual agreement specifying all details).

World-class Pediatric Unit
We have been providing pediatric care for more than 100 years. Our 56-bed pediatrics unit is designed with our patients in mind. Our thoughtfully designed themed patient rooms bring our Wisconsin community to life while providing a healing atmosphere for your child. Stroll down Main Street to see the town clock at the nurses’ station, follow bunny tracks leading to designated play areas and families and visitors can take a break at Partner’s Café by the fireplace.

Dedicated cancer care and treatments
We offer the region's only pediatric oncology inpatient unit. Marshfield Children's pediatric cancer specialists treat childhood cancers and blood disorders. Our expertise includes rare childhood tumors, histiocytosis, bone/brain tumors and clotting conditions.

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Our Level I, eight-bed, PICU provides the highest level of intensive care to critically injured or seriously ill newborn infants and adolescents up to 19 years old.

Marshfield Medical Center has experts and pediatric specialists to care for you and your newborn. We provide complete care and support to newborn babies and families in Eau Claire, Marshfield and Rice Lake. 

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Marshfield Children's Hospital has the only Level III NICU in central and northern Wisconsin. We've cared for thousands of high-risk infants for more than 50 years.
