OB-GYN Opportunity in Central Kansas- Small Town Living with Recently Updated and Growing Birth Care Center

Our recently updated Women’s Care and Birth Care Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate OB-GYN to join our medical center and provide comprehensive healthcare. As an OB-GYN, you will be responsible for conducting various tests, engaging in meaningful conversations with patients to understand their medical needs, and ensuring they receive appropriate education on disease prevention and detection.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and treat expectant mothers during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum
  • Diagnose, treat, and help prevent diseases of women, particularly those affecting the reproductive system
  • Perform both medical and gynecological surgery functions
  • Educate patients about disease prevention, detection and reproductive health
  • Collaborate with other medical and non-medical personnel
  • Keep up to date with current practices and innovations

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school and successful completion of an accredited residency.
  • MD or DO
  • BLS Certification and Advanced Life Support if relevant to practice area (ACLS, ATLS, PALS, NRP).

About KRRC

The Kansas Recruitment and Retention Center (KRRC) partners with hospitals, private practices, community health centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), and other organizations to help strengthen the health care workforce in rural and urban under resourced communities across the State. KRRC services are designed to assist Kansas communities in recruiting and retaining physicians, dentists, pharmacists, physician assistants, APRNs, nurses, dental hygienists, allied health professionals, and behavioral health professionals. In addition to offering recruitment support for Kansas health care facilities and job search support to a variety of health care providers, the KRRC offers resources for CV/resume building, interview prep, and contract negotiation.  

Currently partnering with 55+ health care organizations, we serve as their initial point of contact and liaison in recruiting those seeking to serve in rural and urban underserved communities.

About the facility

We are a 49-bed acute care hospital and Walk-in Clinic providing high quality care to the residents of our county seeking primary, acute, or emergency health services. The Center includes a recently updated Women’s Care and Birth Center, ICU, Emergency services with onsite physician coverage 24-hours a day, Physical and Occupational Therapy, and a Radiology Department equipped with fluoroscopy, mammography, bone density, CT, and MRI scanning services.
