Brown University Health is seeking a Chief of Radiology to oversee two Massachusetts community hospitals within our growing regional network. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a dynamic, collegial, and high-quality radiology team within an academically affiliated health system committed to excellence in patient care, education, and innovation.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

The Chief of Radiology will provide strategic, clinical, and administrative leadership for radiology services across the two community hospital sites. The department includes oversight of 11 full-time radiologists spanning diagnostic, interventional, and breast imaging subspecialties.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of all clinical, quality, and operational aspects of radiology services.
  • Collaboration with hospital and system leadership to ensure excellence in patient care, service delivery, and imaging quality.
  • Mentorship and support of radiology faculty and staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversight of system and site leaders within the Massachusetts community sites.
  • Coordination with external night coverage services (vRad) to ensure continuity and quality of care.

 

Reporting Structure:

This position reports directly to the Chief of Clinical Services of the Brown Health Medical Group and will serve as the senior radiology leader for the Massachusetts community hospitals.

 

About you:

 

  • D. or equivalent degree with Board Certification in Radiology
  • Eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts (and Rhode Island)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a hospital or health system radiology department
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills
