Parkview Health is seeking a Board Eligible or Board-Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Physician to join its well-established and respected team in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Position Highlights:

  • Full-time position: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Schedule Flexibility available, No nights!
  • The role includes patient care at Parkview Randallia, Parkview Regional Medical Center and various Extended Care Facilities. Parkview Randallia houses an inpatient hospice unit.
  • Call: 1:6 phone-based only
  • Board eligibility or certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is preferred.
  • Experience the power of collaborative care where you'll work alongside a highly respected Palliative Care Team delivering both inpatient and outpatient services across the Fort Wayne region while collaborating with the hospice team in northeast Indiana.
  • Our team is highly integrated and well-connected across the continuum of care, ensuring patients experience seamless transitions between care settings—from hospital to hospice to home.
  • Enjoy opportunities to engage in teaching and research alongside residents, with the flexibility to tailor your involvement based on your interests.

About Our Palliative Care:

  • Parkview Hospice collaborates closely with our established Palliative Care Team, which provides both inpatient and outpatient services in the Fort Wayne area.
  • We also partner with a dedicated Palliative Oncology Team based within the Packnett Family Cancer Institute, located on the Parkview Regional Medical Center campus.

About Our Hospice Team:

  • A collaborative team led by a full-time Hospice Medical Director, supported by several hospice physicians of record.
  • Our team also includes experienced Nurse Practitioners who play a key role in completing face-to-face administrative responsibilities.
  • We offer the support of a dedicated Hospice Pharmacy and an integrated Home Health service, providing access to a wide range of therapies including physical, occupational, speech, massage, and music therapy
  • Become part of a compassionate interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing expert consultation and care for patients facing serious, life-threatening, or end-of-life illnesses.
