Join Our Team as a Hematology/Oncology Physician – Make a Difference in Patient Care
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide outstanding clinical care in a dynamic outpatient setting. Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology
- Active Virginia Medical License
- DEA certification for Virginia
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in hematology and oncology
- Proficiency with Epic/Beacon EMR systems
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage a patient load of 13-15 patients daily in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with solid tumors and malignant hematologic conditions
- Familiarity with outpatient infusion services
- Prior experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
- Additional language skills or certifications related to oncology/hematology
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Proven experience in outpatient oncology/hematology clinics, preferably with at least 2 years in the specialty
- Capable of supporting complex patient cases with efficient and compassionate care
Other Requirements:
- Virginia state licensure and DEA registration (costs reimbursed)
- Comfortable working Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with days being negotiable
- Supportive work environment with a multidisciplinary team including APPs, oncology RNs, infusion RNs, pharmacists, social workers, dieticians, navigators, and more
- No travel required; all billable travel including airfare, hotel, and transportation reimbursed when applicable
- Support for emergency privileges as needed
This is an exceptional opportunity offering a competitive pay rate of $507 per hour, with a total hourly rate of $650 including applicable stipends.
