Hospitalist - Plattsburgh, NY (Day & Night Shifts Required)

Practice on the Adirondack Coast of Upstate New York. University of Vermont Health - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) in Plattsburgh, NY seeks a full time Hospitalist to join its talented team.

CVPH is part of a six-hospital system that serves Vermont and northern New York. It is a certified Level III trauma center that works closely with UVM Medical Center, a Level I trauma center located an hour away. CVPH is a 300-bed community hospital serving a tri-county area of approximately 160,000 residents. The hospital has approximately 46,000 ED visits annually.

The position requires a mix of day shifts and night shifts. Both day shifts and night shifts will be blocked together. The full-time hospitalists work approximately 13 twelve-hour shifts per month totaling 154 shifts annually. The full-time day salary is $307,565, with this position also having a nighttime differential for relevant shifts. Our state of the art critical care unit has 14-beds, the Progressive Care Unit has 12 beds and our three cath labs have digital equipment. We have 9 state-of-the-arts OR’s, a 27-room Emergency Department and newly constructed interventional radiology suites. Our Ambulatory Surgery Center has 4 OR’s and 4 endoscopy suites. The EMR network wide in both the clinic and inpatient settings is EPIC.
