The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) invites outstanding candidates to apply for a faculty position in Pediatric Radiology. This role is open at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank in the Clinical X, In Residence, or Health Sciences (HS) Clinical series, depending on qualifications and interests. 

The selected candidate will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated pediatric radiologists at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals in both San Francisco and Oakland, providing exceptional clinical service in pediatric imaging. The role encompasses a broad clinical and academic portfolio including state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging, procedural support, and multidisciplinary care. 

Faculty are expected to engage actively in clinical service, teaching, and research. The department supports professional development in clinical scholarship and encourages faculty to develop a clinical or basic research program in their area of focus.

What We’re Looking For 

  • MD or equivalent degree. 
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Radiology with fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology. 
  • Ability to practice medicine in California (licensure or eligibility by the time of hire). 
  • Strong commitment to clinical excellence, education, and academic scholarship.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $149,700-$393,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Specific total compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and leadership responsibilities.
