Staff Paychiatrist - Adult Outpatient Telehealth

SUTTER COUNTY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH – Yuba City, CA 

Sutter County Behavioral Health supports the community through several specialized service branches. These branches provide help in key areas including behavioral health, substance use services, public health, homelessness support, child and adult welfare, in?home supportive services, public authority functions, public guardianship, and public assistance/employment services.

Staff Psychiatrist – Adult Outpatient Care (Telehealth)

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will bring:

• Board certified or board eligible Psychiatric Physician (MD or DO)
• Experience with adult outpatient populations
• Strong collaboration, documentation, and telehealth practice skills
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient centered psychiatric care

Schedule and Logistics

• 3 10-hour days per week (7:30 AM – 5:30 PM PT).
• Initial visits scheduled for 60 minutes and follow-ups scheduled for 30 minutes
• No call
• EMR – Credible

Responsibilities

• Interviewing and examining clients to diagnose psychiatric conditions and determine appropriate treatment.
• Referring clients to appropriate treatment resources.
• Participating in treatment planning and case conferences.
• Prescribing psychiatric medications and collaborating closely with facility staff.
• Monitoring and documenting treatment progress.
• Preparing comprehensive records, reports, and required documentation.
• Participating in meetings, programs, and multidisciplinary processes.
• Providing psychiatric care for dually diagnosed clients, including participation in treatment reviews and service authorizations.
