Assumes overall clinical responsibility for monitoring patient treatment and staff delivery of clinical services. Provides psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment, clinical supervision, education, and training. Work is performed under the direction of the Chair, Department of Psychiatry, and is subject to review for adherence to best-practice and evidence-based psychiatric principles and techniques through utilization review, case reports, observation, and evaluation of results.
Due to extensive growth and community need, Tower Health is seeking a Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our growing psychiatry practice in West Reading, PA, 60 minutes northwest of Philadelphia. There is an opportunity to teach medical student & residents because Tower Health & Reading Hospital have established at Psychiatry Residency Program. Also Drexel University College of Medicine and Tower Health have joined forces with a medical school near Reading Hospital.
Responsibilities:
The new psychiatrist must be comfortable in managing a wide range of outpatient practices and cover for emergent needs Physician will be provided with the opportunity to practice the clinical skills for which they trained. Reasonable on-call responsibilities are included in this opportunity.
