Join Our Team as a Hematology/Oncology Physician – Make a Meaningful Impact in Patient Care
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide exceptional outpatient care in a supportive and dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient hematology and oncology services with a patient volume of approximately 15 patients per day.
- Support a team including advanced practice providers and three physicians at the Hazard location.
- Manage low-volume, solo-provider clinics while maintaining high-quality care.
- Utilize Meditech EMR for documentation and patient management.
- Work schedule of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility for 3-5 days per week.
- Coverage needed: 3 days per week for a 12-month contract starting April 27, 2026.
- Support staff includes APP support and colleagues in a 60/40 Hem/Onc practice setting.
Required Skills:
- Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology.
- Recent, hands-on patient-facing clinical experience.
- Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR.
- Experience working in outpatient clinic settings.
- Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- At least 2 years of post-certification clinical practice in hematology/oncology.
- Active medical license and certification in good standing.
Other Requirements:
- Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology.
- Eligibility for licensure and credentialing, approximately 60 days.
- Slight travel reimbursements applicable if required.
- Ability to work day shifts without on-call responsibilities.
