Job Description

 

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine invites applications for a Staff Physician providing clinical care in the Student Health Center. Under the supervision of the Student Health Center Medical Director, the Staff Physician will perform the duties of a clinical physician. Responsibilities of this position include clinical care of students, collaboration with Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, and utilization review/ quality assurance. The Student Health Center Staff Physician will perform administrative/ program management duties as assigned.

 

This position does not require taking call.

 

Required Qualifications

 

• M.D. or D.O.

 

• Two years of managerial and/or related professional work experience

 

• Eligible for Nevada medical license

 

• Eligible for Nevada State Board of Pharmacy license

 

• Eligible for DEA certification

 

• Eligible for group malpractice coverage

 

Related experience: providing medical care to patients in an out-patient setting.
