Infectious Disease Physician | South Dayton Acute Care Consultants

Kettering Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Infectious Disease physician to join an independent, consult-driven ID team at Kettering Health. This role offers balanced clinical practice with robust opportunities in antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, teaching, and physician leadership.
Practice & Schedule
- Primary Location: Kettering Health Main Campus
- Monday – Friday clinical service
- Consult-driven service with daily follow-up and shared coverage across on-service physicians.
- Shared call schedule with weekend and weeknight rotation
Team & Volume
- 7 ID physician partners
- Up to 3 physicians on service simultaneously at the Main Campus
- Expected weekday caseload ~15 consults/day
- Weekend consult volume increases appropriately with shared coverage
Clinical Responsibilities
- Inpatient infectious disease consultation and follow-up
- Collaborative care with hospitalists, intensivists, surgeons, oncologists, and pharmacy
- Active role in infection prevention and quality improvement
Teaching & Leadership Opportunities
- Participate in teaching, case conferences, and curriculum development with internal medicine residents and medical students.
- Physician-led Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infection Prevention programs with strong administrative and pharmacy partnership.
- Clinical conferences, case reviews, and guideline development

- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Infectious Disease
- Skilled in diagnostic consultation and complex antimicrobial management
