FQHC in Charming NE Kansas Town Seeks Mission-Minded Internal Medicine Physician for Out-Patient Opportunity

Our community health center is seeking a mission-focused Internal Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive primary care to adult and geriatric patients. This role focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of complex acute and chronic medical conditions for patients ages 18 and older.

Our providers possess a holistic approach to patient care – health care not sick care. We offer a collaborative, multidisciplinary team providing patient-centered integrated care that includes pediatric, psychiatric, behavioral health and dental.

Schedule:

• Mon-Friday, 8:00 am to 7:00 pm (as needed)
• Average 32 clinic hours per week. Shifts are typically 8 hours

Qualifications/Requirements:

• MD or DO from accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (ABIM or AOBIM).
• Valid medical license to practice in Kansas.
• Valid DEA license.
• BLS certification.
• Valid Mental Health First Aid Certification (completed upon hire).
• Previous experience in a community health setting is preferred but not required.

The Kansas Recruitment and Retention Center (KRRC) partners with hospitals, private practices, community health centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), and other organizations to help strengthen the health care workforce in rural and urban under resourced communities across the State. KRRC services are designed to assist Kansas communities in recruiting and retaining physicians, dentists, pharmacists, physician assistants, APRNs, nurses, dental hygienists, allied health professionals, and behavioral health professionals. In addition to offering recruitment support for Kansas health care facilities and job search support to a variety of health care providers, the KRRC offers resources for CV/resume building, interview prep, and contract negotiation.  

Currently partnering with 55+ health care organizations, we serve as their initial point of contact and liaison in recruiting those seeking to serve in rural and urban underserved communities.
