Augusta Medical Group is seeking a dynamic physician leader to serve as Senior Medical Director for Heart & Vascular Services. This role provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership across the cardiovascular service line while maintaining an active clinical practice.
The ideal candidate will be a board-certified cardiologist (any subspecialty considered) with demonstrated leadership experience and a passion for advancing quality, innovation, and team-based care.
Lead strategic growth, workforce planning, and service line development
Ensure clinical excellence through evidence-based practice and innovation
Drive quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives
Partner with executive leadership on financial stewardship and operational efficiency
Support provider engagement, mentoring, recruitment, and retention
Represent the organization within the broader medical community
General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Cardiac Testing, and Vascular Surgery.
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board certification in a cardiovascular specialty
Active medical license in good standing
Prior leadership experience required
MBA, MHA, or advanced administrative degree preferred
