Join Our Team as an Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist and Make a Difference in Women's Healthcare
Are you a dedicated Obstetrics and Gynecology provider seeking an exceptional opportunity to serve patients in a dynamic hospital environment? We are looking for a highly qualified OB-GYN to provide essential coverage, including delivering babies, managing emergent GYN procedures, and supporting high-risk deliveries. This role offers a chance to work within a supportive team committed to excellence in women’s health across a reputable facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rounding on patients and providing on-call support for emergent cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.
- Handling emergent GYN procedures as required.
- Delivering approximately 27 patients per month, including an average of 11 C-sections.
- Managing high-risk deliveries with transfers to specialized facilities (New Hanover Regional or Cape Fear Valley).
- Ensuring timely, quality care in a Level 1 nursery setting at Sampson Regional.
Required Skills:
- Active North Carolina medical license and NC DEA license.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Current NC Medicaid Credential and PECOS enrollment.
- Extensive experience delivering babies (minimum 24 months case logs from hospital settings).
- No recent or open malpractice cases or disciplinary actions.
- Ability to work on short notice, including 24-hour call coverage.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with high-risk patient management.
- Familiarity with hospital-based obstetric and gynecological procedures.
- Comfortable working in a hospital apartment setting with proximity within 20 minutes of hospital.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Proven obstetrics and gynecology experience with recent case logs.
- Current medical licensure and certifications compliant with North Carolina regulations.
Other Requirements:
- Travel costs (mileage, rental car, airfare) capped at $500 unless all-inclusive rates or service hours are included.
- Must have no recent malpractice or disciplinary issues.
- Provider must be actively delivering babies with recent case logs.
- All documentation and responses to the required questions should be included to facilitate rapid review.
