You will practice within a collaborative medical staff supported by a strong regional referral network while making a meaningful impact on patients throughout Lexington and the surrounding Central Kentucky region.

Every day you will provide inpatient Gastroenterology care, including new consultations, hospital rounding, and procedures. You will work a seven-on, seven-off schedule and collaborate with four advanced practice providers who support the G.I. Hospitalist team with consultations, rounding, and scopes. You will also have access to EUS and advanced procedural support while practicing within an integrated Epic electronic health record system.

To be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterology physician committed to clinical excellence, compassionate care, teamwork, and service to the community. You will be comfortable managing an average of 5 to 10 new consultations and a daily census of approximately 15 to 25 patients in a fully inpatient, hospital-based setting.

We are offering a competitive salary guarantee, an additional quality-based bonus, and a comprehensive recruitment package that may include a sign-on bonus, student loan assistance, a residency stipend, and relocation assistance. You will also receive one week of CME with a $4,000 allowance, paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage, and potential eligibility for federal and state student loan forgiveness programs.

Our comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, health spending accounts, short-term disability, MyWellness benefits, mental health resources, and retirement options through Fidelity. Retirement benefits include traditional and Roth options with up to a 3% employer match, plus an additional annual company contribution equal to 3% of your salary toward your choice of a 401(k) or pension plan.

At CommonSpirit Health, our mission is to make the healing presence of God known in our world by improving the health of the people we serve, especially those who are vulnerable, while advancing social justice for all.
