Job Description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Gynecologic Oncology Physician, you will help patients with gynecologic cancers in Colorado Springs receive comprehensive, high-quality oncology care so they can access a full spectrum of services and achieve the best possible outcomes.

 

Every day you will provide specialized gynecologic oncology services as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. You will be expected to diagnose, treat, and manage gynecologic cancer patients, performing surgical oncology procedures, participating in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case reviews, and adhering to high standards of medical ethics and care, while managing a clinical schedule of two clinic days and two operating room days per week with a tiered call structure.

 

To be successful in this role, you must be a physician with a strong OB/GYN and Oncology background and training, a commitment to team-based care, and a passion for supporting programmatic growth within our oncology service line.

  • Provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management for gynecologic oncology patients.
  • Perform surgical oncology procedures for gynecologic cancers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary cancer care teams.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and case review.
  • Adhere to medical ethics and practice standards for OB/GYN and Oncology.
  • Manage a clinical schedule including clinic, operating room, and tiered call responsibilities.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Doctorate MD or DO
  • Successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty
  • Board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to the Hospital
  • Active, current, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Colorado
  • Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
  • Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution
