Job Description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Residency Faculty Family Medicine with Obstetrics Provider, you will be a pivotal clinician and educator, delivering the highest quality patient care and comprehensive family medicine services, including obstetric care, while actively shaping the next generation of family physicians within our Colorado healthcare system. This role involves a blend of didactic and clinical teaching in both inpatient and outpatient settings – encompassing prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum care, as well as broader family medicine, while contributing to clinical quality improvement initiatives and community benefit programs, ensuring access to top-tier primary and obstetric care for our patients.

Every day you will provide expert ambulatory and inpatient care, deliver babies, manage essential family medicine procedures and consultations, and oversee medical residents in their clinical training, meticulously managing medical records to current policy standards. You will actively comply with all managed care programs, Medicare, Medicaid, and federal/state reimbursement plans, including our ethical and religious directives. Furthermore, you will lead and participate in various activities focused on promoting clinical excellence and quality improvement within family medicine and obstetric services, engage in medical staff committees, and, when assigned, provide crucial on-call coverage to support both our community's urgent needs and resident supervision.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Family Physician with demonstrated training and experience in Obstetrics, holding an active Colorado medical license (or eligibility to obtain one), demonstrating a commitment to continuously developing personal and professional competence through ongoing medical education and maintaining applicable board certification. We seek candidates who embody the highest standards of medical ethics, possess strong communication skills for patient, administrative, and resident interactions, and are dedicated to actively engaging in hospital operational matters, peer review, quality improvement, and providing impactful community benefit services, including charity care and patient education.
