PM&R Inpatient, Elizabethtown, KY

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lakeview is a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital dedicated to helping patients recover independence after stroke, neurological injury, orthopedic trauma, and complex medical conditions. We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to join our collaborative, patient-focused medical staff.

This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a well-established inpatient rehabilitation setting with strong therapy and nursing support, predictable scheduling, and the ability to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

Position Highlights

• Manage a diverse caseload including stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, orthopedic, and medically complex patients
• Interdisciplinary team model with physical, occupational, and speech therapy, nursing, and case management

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation care and medical management
• Lead and participate in interdisciplinary team conferences
• Develop individualized treatment plans to maximize patient functional recovery
• Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and patient satisfaction
• Collaborate with referring acute care hospitals and community providers

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
• Kentucky medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Interest in inpatient rehabilitation medicine
• Strong communication and team-based care skills
