Children’s Minnesota is one of the ten largest pediatric health system in the United States and the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from before birth through young adulthood. Minnesota is home to 10,000 lakes – and two thriving neighboring cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul. Both cities are filled with vibrant culture, history, sports and art. The Minneapolis-St. Paul region combines rich urban attractions with an exceptionally beautiful natural environment. The Twin Cities metro area is also a shopper’s delight, anchored by the nation’s largest mall, the Mall of America.

The Twin Cities offers a four-season climate similar to many Midwestern cities. Although Minneapolis is infamous for its cold winters, residents can stay warm with the Minneapolis Skyway, an indoor pedestrian walkway system that links many downtown buildings. The walkway spans 69 blocks and seven miles and is the longest continuous skyway system in the world. The coldest month of the year, January, has an average high temperature of 24 degrees, while the warmest month of July has an average high temperature of 83 degrees. Through all four seasons, there are plenty of activities to enjoy. Summer means boating and swimming on our multitude of lakes, and biking on abundant local trails – the same trails used by cross-country skiers in the winter. There are a half-dozen downhill ski areas within an hour drive. The metro area boasts nine state parks within its perimeter, along with over 150 golf courses — which cater to the highest number of golfers of any state.
